  • MCHS Broadcasting Students win  Silver and Bronze in The 2016 National Telly Awards. My broadcasting students Breana Maclin and Janesha Cade won 2nd and 3rd Place in The 2016 37th Annual National Telly Award for Short Film in June of 2016.
  •  Trojan TV Broadcasting Program continue strong tradition in The NAACP ACT-SO. Broadcasting students were featured in The Millington Star Newspaper.  The article talks about my broadcasting students continuing their hard work and dedication in The NAACP ACT-SO for Filmmaking for the last 10 years. 
  • "Millington students prepare for NAACP filmmaking competition". WMC Action News 5 covered the work that my broadcasting students have done in The NAACP ACT-SO for Filmmaking and Broadcast Journalism. The news package covered the rise of  Millington students prepare for NAACP filmmaking competition in March of 2016. 
  • Produced and Directed The Millington Central High School Graduation (2015).
  • Produced A Short Film about the teachers of Millington Central High School receiving a grant from The Millington Education Foundation (April 5, 2015).
  • Won a grant of $750.00 from The Millington Education Foundation to purchase television production switcher software.
  • Produced The MCHS Senior Video Project for graduation class (2013-Present)
  • Senior broadcasting student Noah Ongay featured in The Millington Star Newspaper for becoming the first Asian American to win The Memphis Regional NAACP ACT-SO Filmmaking Competition and went on to the national competition. Noah completed a short film on Teenage Suicide and made a major impact on the student body of Millington Central High School about this subject matter.
  • Broadcasting student Noah Ongay won 1st Place in the Memphis Regional NAACP ACT-SO(Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics) on March 12, 2015.
  • Produced and Directed Promotional Videos about Millington Central High School (2014-2015).
  • Won a $750.00 grants from The Millington Education Foundation for television monitors for the hallways of Millington Central High School to help promote the school (October 22, 2014).
  • Served as Media Relations Personnel on The Millington Central High School’s Prom Committee      (2014-2015).
  • Served as A Senior Sponsor at Millington Central High School (2012-Present).
  • Served as Media Relations Personnel for Career and Technical Skills Committee at Millington Central High School (2003-Present).
  • The MCHS Broadcasting Program and The Staff of Trojan TV won 1st Place in The Shelby County Schools “Marketing and Media Challenge” (May 2014).
  • Broadcasting students Jherika Brown won 2nd Place and Emmanuel Jones won 3rd Place in the

  • The staff of Trojan TV and I were featured on the front page of November 21, 2013 edition of The Millington Star in a story titled “Tune In” for celebrating a century as a broadcasting program at Millington Central High School.
  • Trojan TV wins Gold, Silver, and Bronze in The Communicators Awards for The Trojan TV Show on May 15, 2013.
  • Broadcasting students: Rubin Seymore won 1st Place, Quametra Wilborn won 2nd Place, and Aquito Coleman won 3rd Place in the Memphis Regional NAACP ACT-SO (Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics) on March 28, 2013.

  • Honored at a celebration luncheon held by The Tennessee Lottery’s President and CEO Ms. Rebecca Paul Hargrove and (CBS) WREG TV- News Channel 3’s President and General Manager Mr. Ronald for the 2011-2012 “Educator of The Week” honorees at The University Club of Memphis, in Memphis, TN on May 11, 2012.
  • Filmmaking student S.T. Davis won 2nd Place and broadcasting student Christian Taylor won 3rd

  • Broadcasting students won the 3rd Place Bronze Statue in the National 31st Annual Telly Awards for the Trojan Television’s Show entitled “Haiti How Can We Help You? (August of 2010).
  • Broadcasting student Randall Davis won 3rd Place in the National NAACP ACT-SO Filmmaking Competition in Kansas City, Missouri on July 13, 2010.
  • Featured on WMC TV-5’s Action News 5 Extra Credit Segment for broadcasting student Randall Davis Winning 3rd Place for his documentary “Past Struggles Overcoming Obstacles” about the Memphis 1968 Sanitation Strike in the National NAACP ACT-SO Filmmaking Competition in (July 2010).
