Hello My Name Is...
My name is Dodd Gengenbach (Coach Dodd) and I have the privilege of teaching your children at Millington Central High School. This is my first year at MCHS and I am already impressed by the student-centered learning environment as well as the friendliness of the community as a whole. In addition to teaching English, I am coaching varsity football. Two of the greatest loves in my life are helping young adults reach their potential academically and athletically; teaching has provided me the opportunity to do both and I am grateful.
Although this will be my first year at MCHS, I have been involved with education for the last 18 years as a teacher, coach, and/or administrator at St. George’s, Briarcrest, and Tipton Rosemark Academy. I have two sons; Brooks, who is a junior this year, and Bryant, who is going into 2nd grade. I earned a B.A. in English and General Literature from Binghamton University, a B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Memphis, and a M.A.T from the University of Memphis with certifications to teach both English and Physical Education.
My pastimes include reading, collecting sports memorabilia, collecting and watching movies, playing and watching various sports, spending time with family and friends, and continually trying to experience new activities as a life long learner.
I am free during my planning period on “A” days from 10:20am-11:20am if you need to contact me.
