                                                        ESL I - ESL IV

English as a Second Language (ESL) is designed to assist English Learners in acquiring formal academic English.  Students will work to strengthen their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.  The specific topics and skills covered vary depending upon the needs of my students. Class time will be divided between skill-building activities and content area support. Grades are based on total points following MCHS grading policy.  Time is given for all assignments to be completed in class, but late work is accepted for full credit.  Students may apply up to two ESL credits towards graduation requirements.  More than two ESL credits will be counted as electives.
