  2. What brought you to MCHS?
    1. "Band Director positions do not open often. I was looking for a position that allowed me to focus on growing one program. At CHS and CMS, I served as the single director for the middle and high school. I also lead worship at a local church in Millington and MCHS is closer to my home, so it was a perfect fit for me and my family."
  3. What are you hoping to bring to your new position at MCHS?
    1. A focus on building unity in the program; a noticeable presence at athletic and community events; high school peer to peer mentoring at the middle school in an effort to grow the high school program; and a push towards preparing students for a higher education. Music can be the vehicle to full-scholarships for non-music and music majors.
  4. What are you passionate about outside of school?
    1. My family is my number one! I have 3 boys, Ethan (18) at U of M studying Choral Music Education, Logan (8th Grade at Munford Middle), and Jackson (First Grade at Atoka Elementary.) As of the 19th of September, my wife (Beth) and I have been married for 21 years.
  5. What is your favorite inspirational quote?
    1. Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you, to protect and prosper you not harm you."
  6. What is your biggest piece of advice for incoming and graduating high school students?
    1. Strive to be your better today than you were yesterday, because procrastination is your enemy.
