Hello My Name Is...

William K. Richardson

I teach AP Language and Composition, English 11 Honors, and English 11.

I am the head wrestling coach. I came to MCHS in 2008 to coach the wrestling team. The team rebounded last year with a solid season, sending four to the TSSAA State Tournament. We hope to recruit well this year and compete with the teams out of Nashville for the Region 4 A-AA title in February.

I began my teaching at Riverview Middle School in 1991. I moved to Westside High School in 1994, where I coached football and started the school's wrestling team, a team that had some great years in the nine years it existed. MCHS was a rival of ours at Westside. It was always tough and hard-nosed when we squared off.

The 2019-20 season was a great season for the team. The guys finished as Runner-up in both the Region 8-A Duals and the Region 4-A Tournament. Nine wrestlers qualified for the state tournament, and two wrestlers--Jaden Tincher and Malik Wooten--placed at the TSSAA State Tournament. The 2020-21 season  looks promising with six returning state qualifiers and a whole new group of freshmen and other new comers.
