Environmental Science/ Ecology
Environmental Science focuses on the environmental movement and explores natural ecosystems and issues concerning a growing world population. Issues are approached at a basic level and build in a logical, systematic way toward a solid, comprehensive understanding of our natural resources. When paired with ecology, students may earn a full science credit, which can be used as one of the 3 sciences required for graduation.

Ecology examines the fundamental principles that determine the variety and distribution of plant and animal life on earth. Topics include climate, soil types and formation, topography, cycles of energy and matter, the adaptation of various life forms to their ecosystems, interrelationships within ecosystems, succession, and population dynamics. When paired with Environmental Science, students may earn a full science credit, which can be used as one of the three sciences needed for graduation.
