Geography Syllabus


Mrs. Moore

  1. Materials--
    1. Textbook  ( needed everyday!!!!)
    2. Pen (blue or black ink only) or Pencil
    3. Paper for class work
    4. Folder pocket for keeping work organized (recommended)
    5. Colored Pencils are required (bring everyday to class).
  2. Rules and Procedures—
    1. Enter class on time and sit in your assigned seat.
    2. Be prepared for class by bringing book, folder,  pen/pencil, and colored pencils.
    3. Complete bell work upon entering the room.
    4. Raise your hand to ask/answer a question or to ask permission to get out of your seat.
    5. Leave furniture as it is.
    6. No food or drink in the classroom.
    7.  No sleeping in class, or personal grooming.
    8.  Show respect to teacher, classroom, and classmates.
    9. If you are tardy you will sign the tardy log.  After two a referral is sent to the principal.
    10. Make up work is your responsibility.
    11. Adhere to all school rules including district mandate on cell phones and personal electronics.  (I will take them up!!!!!!!)
  3. Grading system-- I grade on a total points system.  Each test and project will be worth 100 points all other graded work depends on the assignment.  A variety of methods will be used in order to determine the final grade in the class including:

Home Work                                    Semester Exams


Purpose:  To educate students on the physical, cultural and human aspects of our world.  As nations progress our world is getting smaller and knowledge of our global community is becoming a necessity.
